Biomedical Systems

Improving clinical outcome for cardiovascular, cerebral, lung and dermal diseases is a major challenge as the interaction of patient, clinician and technology is complex. We believe that the development of medical devices and processes can be greatly improved and sped up by interdisciplinary teams, user centricity, rapid prototyping and agile methods. We recreate physiological and pathological conditions using in-silico, in-vitro, in-vivo and clinical experiments. This setup allows us to create, test and improve biomedical devices and bioengineering processes. The goal to make the first step towards translation into clinical practice is driving the team towards excellence.
